Last Thursday, December 4th, the Norwegian–Polish Chamber of Commerce (NPCC) hosted its annual Christmas Reception in Oslo. The event was held in a warm and welcoming atmosphere and offered an excellent opportunity to bring together companies working with the Chamber, meet existing members, and welcome new business partners.
Established on February 28, 2012, the Norwegian–Polish Chamber of Commerce was created to support economic cooperation between Norway and Poland. Its mission is to promote bilateral investment, facilitate trade, and build strong professional networks between businesses in both countries. NPCC serves as a platform for dialogue, connecting companies, institutions, and experts who together contribute to a strong Norwegian–Polish business ecosystem.
A Prestigious Setting and Strong Institutional Support
Guests were warmly and professionally welcomed by Ewa Daniela Burdon, long-serving President of NPCC, together with Kjetil Haare Johansen, Partner at DLA Piper Norway and former Country Managing Partner of the firm.

DLA Piper is the largest pan-Nordic law firm and part of the global DLA Piper Group, one of the three largest law firms in the world. The firm provides comprehensive legal and business advisory services, with particular strength in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A).
Expanding Cross-Border Cooperation and Economic Impact
The event brought together NPCC members and invited guests from across Norway, as well as representatives of Polish businesses. In addition to networking, the evening focused on strengthening long-term relationships and creating new opportunities for Norwegian–Polish cooperation.

Norwegian firms are particularly active in advanced manufacturing, industrial technologies, energy, defence, cybersecurity, and financial services.
Shared Values and a Forward-Looking Perspective
At the same time, Polish companies have for many years played a strategic role in Norway, especially in port and maritime infrastructure, shipbuilding, real estate, and offshore projects. They are also well represented in the fisheries sector—vital to the Norwegian Economy—as well as in the rapidly growing IT sector.
