N26, Germany-based a European digital-only bank expanded its product portfolio in Scandinavia. The bank, which offers a suite of mobile banking services now launched its N26 Black Premium Account in Denmark, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Sweden and the Kingdom of Norway as well.

According to N26, the account puts users at the core of everything, while building on an existing seamless, borderless banking experience. The company is one of Europe’s most well-known “neo banks” that were set up over the past few years to compete with traditional banks by offering more user-friendly digital services. It has amassed 3.5 million customers in 29 European markets since its initial launch in 2015.

N26 Black targets frequent Travellers: it removes the uncertainty of exchange rates and transaction costs encountered through foreign travel and provides customers with free unlimited foreign currency purchases and withdrawals at ATMs outside the eurozone. For a monthly subscription of € 9.90, Black customers benefit from no mark-up fees on foreign transactions and Mastercard’s best exchange rate. Next to that, N26 Black customers have 5 free withdrawals at ATMs within the eurozone per month.

Furthermore, N26 Black offers an insurance package tailored to the needs of young professionals and frequent travellers, designed together with Allianz Global Assistance Europe. It covers foreign medical expenses, flight delays, luggage protection, and car rental, as well as mobile phone, cash and purchase theft protection.

Additionally, N26 Black customers benefit from Spaces, a feature that provides a fast and easy way to set money aside based on users’ personal preferences and needs. Users can open up to 10 Spaces and instantly move funds to their personalized Space and back to the main account.

N26 Black is currently available for customers in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, UK and Norway.
