From 13 March to 4 April 2025, all individuals earning income in Norway will begin receiving their Tax Assessment (SKATTEMELDING). The Norwegian Tax Administration (SKATTEETATEN) is distributing these on a randomly assigned schedule, so some people may receive them earlier than others during this period.
If you are a Norwegian citizen or resident, you are now able to file your Tax Return 2024. As in previous years, the submission Deadline — whether online or in paper form — is 30 April 2025.
What’s New for the 2024 Tax Year in Norway?
There have been several important updates to the Income Tax System in 2024, introduced to prevent inflation-driven income increases from leading to higher tax burdens.
